# Navigating the Job Views

## The Job View in ShopController is your central hub for viewing, managing, and organizing all your current and upcoming jobs.

### **1. Board View: The Popular Choice**

- Upon clicking "Jobs" in the left-side navigation, you'll be greeted by the Board View, favored by many ShopController users.
- Each job is represented by a card, displayed across various statuses along the top. These statuses are fully customizable, allowing you to adapt the board to your specific workflow (See "customizing the job board" article).
- Filter by technician or employee using the dropdown on the right to see which jobs are assigned to whom.

### **2. Edit View: Tailoring Your Experience**

- The Edit View, accessible through the icon on the right, allows you to personalize your Job View by toggling on/off different sections.
- Choose to hide the Vehicle View, Vehicle Info, Appointment Date, or Tags section if they don't align with your needs.

### **3. Alternative Views: Exploring Different Layouts**

- Beyond the Board View, Shopcontroller offers various layouts to suit different preferences: 
    - **Tech View:** Provides a technician-centric view, showcasing each technician's assigned jobs.
    - **Bay View:** Primarily useful for shops with designated workspaces like alignment bays or paint booths, displaying jobs assigned to each bay.
    - **List View:** Presents a traditional table format listing all jobs.
    - **Calendar View:** Offers a calendar-based overview of your scheduled jobs,allowing you to switch between month, week, or day views.
    - Double-clicking any job in any view opens a detailed view with more information.
